Following a thorough assessment, our Physiotherapists use a variety of means to address your issues. These include manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrical modalities and acupuncture, as well as education for your return to work, sport and life.
Our Physiotherapists have advanced credentials in the fields of Manual Therapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Concussion Management, Acupuncture and Vestibular Rehabilitation. We work with clients in the clinic, in the community and on the field/ rink. We have provided on-site sport therapy coverage and educational sessions for local events and teams, recreational athletes, professional sports and even the Olympic Games.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system. Chiropractors perform a thorough medical history and physical examination in order to provide a diagnosis. After determining the diagnosis, our chiropractor will work with you to create a course of treatment that may include spinal adjustments, extremity adjustments, soft tissue therapy (including ART® and instrument assisted), acupuncture and rehabilitation.
Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is the manual manipulation of your soft tissue to achieve a therapeutic response. It can be used to enhance the function of muscles and joints, improve the circulation of the blood and lymph, relieve pain and stress, reduce blood pressure and can also have a sedative, calming effect.
Our Registered Massage Therapists have post graduate specialization in kinesio taping, myofascial release, craniosacral and sport massage. These specialized skills can help you manage and prevent injury, while enhancing your performance.
Osteopathy
One of the core principles of Osteopathy is the importance of alignment, and how when in proper position, a body can experience better health. When a body part is not able to move well, circulation and neurological innervation is compromised, eventually leading to pain, illness or possibly disease. Osteopathic therapists study the anatomy and physiology extensively to identify areas of concern and in turn, treat the patient as a whole body.
Osteopaths commonly treat:
- Neck pain
- Back pain
- Sciatica
- TMJ (jaw) dysfunction
- MVA injuries
- Repetitive strains
- Sports-related injuries
- Prenatal/Postnatal issues
- Women’s health (ex. menstrual pain)
- Digestive issues
- Respiratory issues (ex. post COVID symptoms)
- Headaches/Migraines
- Tinnitus
- Post surgical recovery (ex. scar work)
